Comfort San Rafael Insulation Services, sanrafaelinsulation.com, hello@sanrafaelinsulation.com
Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of the Comfort San Rafael Insulation Services website and any estimate or work you ask us for. By using the site, requesting an estimate or booking a job, you agree to them.
If you don't agree with something here, please don't use the site. Call us at (628) 234-2144 and we'll talk it through before any work is scheduled.
What we do
Comfort San Rafael Insulation Services is an insulation contractor based in San Rafael, CA. We insulate attics, walls, crawl spaces and basements, remove old insulation, air seal and install vapor barriers for homes and commercial buildings in San Rafael and the cities around it. We're licensed and insured. You can read more about us on our About page.
The service pages on this site describe our work in general terms. The work we'll actually do at your property is the work described in your written estimate or agreement.
Estimates and pricing
Our estimates are free, done in person and obligation-free. We price a job after we've seen it because the cost depends on the size of the space, how easy it is to reach, how many inches are already up there, whether old material has to come out first and which material you choose.
Your estimate stays good for the period written on it. If we open up a space and find something we couldn't see during the estimate, such as soaked insulation or insulation full of droppings, we'll stop, show you what we found and get your written approval before the price or the work changes.
Any general cost information on this site is for planning only. It isn't an offer or a quote for your job.
Scheduling and cancellation
We set a start date once you accept the estimate. Dates can move because of weather, material supply or conditions we find on site, and if that happens we'll tell you as early as we can and work out a new date with you.
Please give our crew clear access to the attic hatch, crawl space or other work area, and keep pets away from where we're working. Some materials, spray foam in particular, mean you, your kids and your pets need to stay out of the house for a while, so we'll tell you the re-entry time, meaning when it's safe to come back, before we start.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us as soon as you know. Any cancellation terms in your written agreement apply, along with any cancellation rights the law gives you.
Payment
Your written agreement states the total price, any deposit, when the balance is due and how you can pay. We won't ask for payment that isn't written into that agreement or an approved change to it.
If a payment is late, we may pause any remaining work until the account is brought current, and we'll let you know before we do.
Our guarantee and warranty limits
Our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If something about the job isn't right, tell us and we'll come back and work with you to make it right, as described in your written agreement.
Insulation, foam, vapor barrier and sealing products carry their makers' warranties. We'll pass those on to you, but we don't extend or change them.
The information on this website is general and offered as is. It isn't a substitute for an inspection of your house, and apart from what's in your written agreement and what the law requires, we make no other warranties about the site or our work.
Limits on our liability
To the extent California law allows, Comfort San Rafael Insulation Services isn't responsible for indirect or consequential losses that come from using this website or relying on its general information. For a job we perform, our total responsibility is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that California law doesn't allow a business to limit.
Settling a disagreement
If you're unhappy with anything, call us first, because most problems get settled faster with a conversation and a site visit. We'll respond in good faith and try to reach a fair answer with you.
If we can't settle it together, either of us may take the matter to small claims court or to the courts serving Marin County, California.
Governing law
These terms, your use of this website and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one in effect. Changes won't alter a written agreement you've already signed unless we both agree in writing.
How to reach us
If you have a question about these terms, call us at (628) 234-2144 between 8 AM and 9 PM, seven days a week, or send a message through our Contact page. We reply within 1 business day.
